MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To ensure learners are adequately prepared to meet the demands of their new roles by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve their defined targets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a positive hands on learning experience for learners and grab and keep the attention of learners by making use of various training techniques
  • Provide effective Sales Training based on sound business best practices that has yielded proven results
  • Identify common errors made on the sales floors and ensure that this is sufficiently addressed so that historic issues are not repeated
  • Train employees on aspects such as soft skills, effective communication, time efficiency, work ethic and product related information. This includes providing them with perspective, drive and motivation
  • Creating assessments that effectively assess the understanding of the subject matter
  • Training techniques must be evaluated for constantly to ensure that it is relevant and speaks to the needs of the learners
  • Constant communication with relevant departments to ensure training is delivered at the desired level
  • Communicate with relevant departments in terms of learner terminations
  • At the end of training consolidated results and other relevant information must be consolidated and forward to training admin and compliance (FAIS campaigns)
  • Record keeping & reporting - All results must be recorded, learners lunch and stipends must arranged in advance
  • Must be well prepared prior to starting any training session i.e., defined lesson plan
  • Learning objectives are clearly defined and communicated to the class

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Grade 12
  • Facilitator Qualification – Advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years Training/Facilitating experience
  • Knowledge of the Short-Term Insurance Industry, CPA, FAIS, FSB
  • Must have worked in a Sales Environment
